SoMar Farms is spread between Sonoma and Marin counties, in the agricultural area of unincorporated Petaluma. We raise grassfed/finished cattle and sheep.
Our mission is to produce delicious and nutritious food for our community by using regenerative agricultural practices that prioritize the well-being of the planet, animals, and people involved. None of our animals are ever treated with hormones, and while we are not certified organic we do utilize organic practices. Please contact us if you have any questions about our practices!
Stephen has twenty years of experience in agriculture and manages the land and the livestock at SoMar farms. Suzanna handles the office work, connecting with customers and the local ranch community. Their three kids can be found nuzzling lambs, roping milk jugs and in the right season, picking blackberries by the farm sign.
Working dogs are an integral part of our operation, helping to move sheep and cattle, sparing us from having to sprint up hills after errant ewes or stubborn cows! If you come visit the farm you can bring your dog with you, but be sure to keep her on a leash. Thanks!
